Who Big White suits
- Families with young kids, thanks to the Happy Valley learning area and a covered lift to get there.
- Owners who want rental income: the village draws visitors all winter, and Big White is exempt from the principal-residence rule (registration required).
- Buyers from the U.S. and overseas: Big White is outside the areas covered by the federal ban on non-Canadian buyers.
- Anyone who loves deep, dry snow and skiing under the lights at night.
Who might be happier elsewhere
If you want to live on the mountain and still get to town often, SilverStar is closer to a city. If you fly into Kamloops, look at Sun Peaks.
Foreign-buyer and rental information per BCREA and the Association of Interior REALTORS® (2026); confirm with a lawyer before you buy.
