SilverStar is my home mountain. I take visitors out on free guided tours as a SilverStar Mountain Host, and it is the resort I recommend most to people who want to actually live up there.

Who SilverStar suits
- Full-time and part-time residents: Vernon is about 25 minutes away for groceries, schools and the hospital.
- Cross-country skiers, with more than 105 km of groomed Nordic trail on the doorstep.
- Strong skiers who want tree runs and fall-line pitches on the Putnam Creek side.
- Summer people: lift-served mountain biking, hiking and wildflower meadows.
Things to know first
SilverStar is inside the areas covered by the federal ban on non-Canadian buyers, and some rental areas require a rental manager. The resort changed hands in November 2025 and is on the Ikon Pass for 2026–27.
